Did you even know there was any such thing as a National Book Festival? How cool does that sound? Really? Books AND fair food = happiness!

It is sponsored and arranged and funded and etc. by the Library of Congress. The above link gives all sorts of tasty news about it. It says:
"The 2006 National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress and hosted by First Lady Laura Bush, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., between 7th and 14th streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). The festival is free and open to the public."
Now, I have tried not to hold Mr. GW Bush against Laura Bush. Sometimes, we cannot help who we fall in love with. Sometimes, we are even blinded horribly by love - see Trojan War. So put all your bad feelings aside and just wallow in the fact that there is a National Book Festival!
I want to go soooo badly.
